1) Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using FinanceMe, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms include references to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
2) Service description
FinanceMe is a personal finance management tool for tracking income, expenses/bills, projects, loans, investments, and goals for personal, non‑commercial use.
FinanceMe is not a financial advisor or fiduciary and does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
3) Accounts and eligibility
- Accounts are created via an identity provider sign‑in; you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and devices.
- You must provide accurate information, maintain one account per person, and be at least 13 years old to use the service.
4) Your data and license to us
You retain ownership of the data you submit and may export or delete it using provided tools or by contacting support.
You grant us a limited, revocable license to process your data solely to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties.
5) Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, including categories collected, purposes, retention, transfers, and your rights.
Where local law grants additional rights (e.g., Malaysia PDPA, California CPRA), we honor those as applicable to your residency.
6) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, infringe others' rights, or submit unlawful content
- Attempt to access accounts or data without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the service
- Bypass rate limits
- Upload malware
- Resell or commercially exploit the service without permission
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement consistent with legal requirements.
7) Service changes and availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," and while we strive for high availability, uninterrupted or error‑free operation is not guaranteed.
We may add, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable, and critical security or compliance changes may occur without prior notice.
8) No financial advice
- All outputs are for organization and tracking only and are not personalized financial, investment, or tax advice
- Verify data accuracy before making decisions and consult qualified professionals as needed
- You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and outcomes
9) Warranties disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement regarding the service.
Any use of third‑party services or links is at your own risk and subject to those providers' terms.
10) Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities arising from or relating to your use of the service.
Our aggregate liability for any claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid (if any) in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11) Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for material breaches, security risks, unlawful activity, or to comply with legal obligations; you may stop using the service at any time and can request deletion of your account and data.
Upon termination, your license to use the service ends, and sections that by nature should survive (e.g., limitations, dispute provisions) will survive.
12) Security and incidents
We implement security measures proportionate to risk and will notify you and relevant authorities of breaches as required by law, including Malaysia's updated PDPA timelines and requirements.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
13) Cross‑border transfers and governing law
Data may be processed outside your country by vetted providers under appropriate safeguards; Malaysia's amended PDPA permits transfers to countries with substantially similar protection or under specified exceptions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and courts of competent jurisdiction in Malaysia will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the Effective Date will change, and material changes will be communicated via in‑app notice or email; continued use after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance.
Archived versions or a change log are available on request.
